Amosun tasks new aide on Olokola Free Trade Zone

Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has sworn-in a new Special Adviser on Special Projects with a charge on him to ensure the full realisation of the Olokola Free Trade Zone, for the benefit of the state and Nigeria.

The new aide,  Mr. Olalekan Onamusi, a chartered accountant is from Ijebu-East Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, yesterday, at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta, Amosun said the first and major task of the new appointee was to oversee the full operation of the Olokola project.

He said the Olokola Free Trade Zone remained very significant to his administration’s drive for economic development of the state, hence the appointment of somebody with a Special Adviser status to drive the project.

Speaking after his inauguration, Mr.  Onamusi, said his new assignment was a task that must be accomplished, adding that he would be meeting with the stakeholders on the Olokola project in order to achieve the laudable goal of the governor.

It would be recalled that the Amosun administration had committed more funds to the Olokola Free Trade Zone than any previous government in Ogun State.
