Accenture Nigeria has identified effective management support as a key element to achieving project implementation in Nigeria.
At the just concluded Project Management Conference in Lagos, the firm in a presentation noted that a successful project must fulfil on time delivery, meet business requirement, on budget delivery, quality, return on investment, customer and stakeholders’ satisfaction.
Head Project management Capability, Accenture Nigeria, Adedapo Adewole in a presentation at the event highlighted criteria for achieving successful project.
He said that the primary business case for implementing project management is to achieve more successful implementation of pro-jects.
He called early introduction of project management which brings about project excellence, adding that adhering to project management methods and strategies reduce risks, cut costs and improve success rates and project Management maturity level impacts on-time and on-budget project delivery.
Adewole who represented the company Country Manager, Niyi Yusuf explained that Accenture is much interested in project management because part of its core interest is to ensure successful delivery of its client’s business objectives in all areas.

He stated that the delivery of business outcomes is realized through the success of projects, and in essence that is the way that project management strategies drive organizational success.
Referring to a survey conducted in 2010 by a global consulting giant, it was found that nearly 60 percent of senior executives said building a strong project management discipline is a top-three priority for their companies as they look to the future.
However, disciplined project management he said starts at the portfolio level, where the strategic vision drives initial investments and where value measures are established.
