Summit to discuss strategies for sustainable growth

The organizers of the 2013 Oilseed& Grain Trade Summit and Women in Agribusiness Summit, has said that the summit will focus on strategizes to achieve sustainable growth for ingredient buyers and sellers from around the globe as well as to discuss key issues facing the industry.

The spokesperson of the organizing committee, Michelle Pelletier-Marshall, said the summit is a globally-recognized industry conference that attracts commodity and ingredient buyers and sellers from around the world for unparalleled networking opportunities, and discussion about key industry issues including strategies for sustainable growth in agricultural production, new processing technologies, transportation challenges, and developing trends in the commodity, food, biofuels and animal feed sectors.

According to her, the summit, which is in its eight edition will hold from  Oct. 21-23, while the second annual Women in Agribusiness Summit is slated for Oct. 22-24, in Minneapolis, USA.

According to her, this year’s agenda includes more sessions that address various oilseeds and grains, with panels such as: trends in the global oilseed and grains supply chain, trends in vegetable oil usage for food, fuel and industrial applications, new oil traits: addressing the needs of the supply chain, new sources of vegetable proteins used for feed and their competitiveness with soybean meal and new options for managing grain and oilseed price risk .
