No fewer than 20 foreign players have indicated interests to participate in the 7th edition of the Godswill Akpabio International Scrabble Classics  which holds in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State  from September 25 to 29, 2013, President of the Nigeria Scrabble Federation, NSF Chief Toke Aka has confirmed.

Among the top foreign players expected, Chief Aka said, are the current world champion, Nigel Richards, Jason Katz-Brown, Austin Shin, Komol Panyasonpholat and Pakorn Nemitramansku, winner of the last edition.

The NSF, the president said, is still considering the inclusion of the female category but disclosed that “four male categories will be played namely Opens, Veterans, Intermediate and Masters. Our national ratings will be used in deciding which category players can play. All foreign players will play in the Masters category.”
