ADO EKITI — The Governing Council of Ekiti State University, EKSU, has wielded the big stick by approving the dismissal of three senior academic staff of the university for alleged offences of manipulation of examination scores, plagiarism and failure to serve the university after being sponsored abroad.
Three others also had their appointments terminated for alleged gross academic misconduct, falsification of employment records and sexual harassment.
In the same vein, the institution has expelled 24 students and rusticate no fewer than 300 others for offences ranging from examination misconduct to being members of unregistered associations in the university
According to a statement by the Deputy Registrar, Information and Protocol, Mr. Ajibade Olubunmi, in Ado Ekiti, weekend, these decisions were taken by the university governing council at its 108th meeting, based on the recommendations of the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee on matters concerning the affected staff.
