Wife of the Chief of Naval Staff and President of Naval Officers Wives Association, NOWA, Vivian Ezeoba, yesterday in Lagos, called on Nigerian women to engage themselves in regular exercises.

Ezeoba made the call while briefing journalists on the 1st  NOWA Present Golf Tournament  which  began yesterday at the Dolphin Golf club, Navy Town, Lagos.

She described golf as a  game associated with discipline, explaining that the initiative to stage a golf tournament was taken in order to bring together professional golfers from all over the country, as well  as afford members of NOWA the opportunity to become professional golfers like their counterparts in other countries.

According to Ezeoba, the tournament which is the first of its kind in the history of the Nigerian Navy, was aimed among other things, “to keep members of the association fit and  healthy.” She therefore called on Nigerian women to always exercise themselves, reminding them that “ if we make exercise part of our life style, our families will be better for it.”
