BENIN—A group of ex-militants in the Niger Delta, operating under the umbrella of “Forum for Peace in the Niger Delta,” has appealed to the Federal Government to review upwards the amount of money it allocated to states in the region affected by the recent flood disaster in the country.
The group, which spoke through its President, Reuben Wilson, at a one- day conference on the “Challengings facing Amnesty Programme vis-avis Niger Delta Ex-Militants”, insisted that the fund from the Federal Government was not enough to take care of the problems arising from the flooding and appealed for more assistance to the affected states.
