The legislator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has flagged off the distribution of educational materials to schools in Lagos East Senatorial District for the purpose of enhancing adequate learning for students of his constituency at Lady-Lak Primary School , Bariga.
The senator who was represented at the flag-off of the Back to School Project by Alhaji Anifowose Dengel, council Chairman, Bariga LCDA, stated that there is the need to support the people at the grassroots, especially the young pupils and students with the necessary educational materials.
”One major promise I made during my electioneering campaign was to embark on projects that will boost education in my district, which is being fulfilled today in another form different from the previous educational projects I have done in the past,” he said. Some of the educational materials given to the pupils include school bags, books, pens, erasers, water bottles, raincoats among others.
Aside from the educational materials,free medical check ups were carried out on the pupils and free drugs were given to those that needed them.
The headmistress of the school, Mrs Odenuga Abiodun, gave kudos to the lawmaker for choosing the school to Flag off the programme,”I am very greatful for this gesture by senator Ashafa for bringing this kind of initiative to our school, he is indeed a caring father to us all’ she said.
A primary four pupil of the school, master Bolu Odunmosi also showered emcomiums on the lawmaker,’we thank the senator for giving us these materials because we truly need them to do well in our class, I pray that God will continue to provide for him more’ he prayed.
