UMUAHIA – OBINGWA Local Government Council of Abia State has recovered 11 vehicles from some former political office holders in the council.

The transition committee chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area, Dr. Onyekachi Nwulu, who disclosed this to newsmen, said some of the vehicles were abandoned in mechanic workshops.

He said to maintain proper record of the council’s property, a committee to take an inventory of assets of the council which made the recovery of the vehicles possible was set up.

Nwulu, who was one of the chairmen given award by the forum of councillors in the state, announced that he had carried out a comprehensive inventory of all abandoned water projects in Obingwa with the aim of reactivating them before the year runs out.
