THE chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Â EFCC, Mrs. Farida Waziri has won the support of influential officials of the United States government and the business community, who believe the agency should be encouraged in the interest of bilateral relations and global economic development.
Mrs. Waziri who is currently on a week long visit to the US has been locked in a series of meetings with American top government officials and the businessmen and women to explain what the anti-corruption agency has been doing since their assumption of office.
Sunday Vanguard gathered that no fewer than three former American ambassadors to Nigeria, Howard Jetters, John Campbell and Chris Leyman who hold strategic portfolios in the Council on Foreign Relations, CFR have been deeply involved in the latest effort to ensure a better relationship between Nigeria and the United States.
