THOUGH the presidency may have soft-pedaled by stepping down on the introduction of the N5,000 note by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN,  the Senate is poised for yet another battle with the Executive by summoning the Minister of Information, Mr. Labran Maku to defend what it termed his embarrassing comments.

The Senate, not comfortable with what it termed unguarded Statement by the Minister while reacting to the position of the lawmakers, the upper chamber has asked him to appear before the Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe-led Committee on Information, Media and Public Affairs on Tuesday.
