Oyerinde: Police move Ugolor, 9 others to Oko prison pending DPP advice

The Police in Abuja Friday said that Rev. David Ugolor, the alleged mastermind of the murder of late aide to Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo State, and 9 others were yesterday put in jail by a Magistrate Court in Benin presided over by Magistrate JK Idiake and would remain in jail pending when the Director of Public Prosecution gives his advice on the investigation report.

Making the disclosure yesterday, Force Spokesman, CSP Frank Mba, said Ugolor along with Danjuma Musa, Murtala Usman, Auta Umaru, Moses Asama Okoro, Umaru Adamu, Garba Mainasari, Wilfred Iserhieirhiu, Hassan Babatse and Idris Abdul Hameed were arraigned  before the Oredo Magistrate court and charged with 8 count charges.

The charges are conspiracy, murder, armed robbery, illegal possession of cartridges and receiving stolen property. The Force Spokesman noted that all the charges relate to the death, the robbery and the killing of Oyerinde.

Continuing, he said that in a separate charge sheet, Danjuma Musa, Moses Asama Okoro, Abubakar Mohammed and other other at large were arraigned on a 5-count charge of conspiracy, armed robbery, and murder of one Alhaji Ismaila Aliyu at Benin city on the 24th of May 2012.

Finally, in the last charge sheet, Umaru Adamu, Moses Asama Okoro and Danjuma Musa were arraigned on a 2 count charge of conspiracy and attempted murder of one Badamasi Saleh and Saidu Dahiru.
