Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has commended Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her consistent empowerment initiatives targeting different segments of society.

Mrs Soludo spoke while presenting a ₦5 million cash gift from the First Lady to a farmers’ group in Awka, Anambra State.

The money was given to the farmers following a special presentation they made during Mrs Tinubu’s official visit to the state last Thursday.

Presenting the cash to the beneficiaries, Mrs Soludo described the gesture as an appreciation from a “great woman” whose kindness continued to inspire others.

She said the farmers had, during the First Lady’s visit, presented a token of support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Moved by the gesture, Mrs Tinubu decided to reciprocate with the cash gift to support the farmers’ activities.

“Following the warm reception she received from beneficiaries of last year’s Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme during her visit to Anambra, the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has gifted them ₦5 million to further support and strengthen their businesses,” Mrs Soludo said.

“I had the honour of formally presenting the ₦5 million to the beneficiaries on behalf of the First Lady.

“This is another reminder that kindness, appreciation and genuine human connection can go a long way,” she added.

Mrs Soludo commended the First Lady for her commitment to empowering Nigerians and promoting initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods.

She prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Mrs Tinubu for her generosity and commitment to supporting communities.
