BENIN CITY – THE leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Edo State axis has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo on the appointment of Victor Ureshemi Akande as his Special Adviser on Student Affairs and Mobilization..

A statement by its Chairman, Comrade Yakubu Peter Odion and the Secretary, Comrade Daniel Omoregie said the appointment of Akande was a round peg in a round hole.

The students expressed gratitude to the governor for recognising the potential and capacity of Akande to lead the office which they is vital. “This appointment reflects the administration’s commitment to prioritizing student welfare and inclusive governance.”

They said they have absolute confidence that Akande’s “wealth of experience, vibrant leadership, and deep-rooted passion for the student movement will drive meaningful engagement, robust mobilization, and unprecedented development for students across Edo State.

“As the umbrella body hosting all campus structures in the state, NANS JCC Edo State Axis pledges its unalloyed support, cooperation, and partnership to ensure your tenure is marked by outstanding success, peace, and progress.”
