Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, has received fresh national recognition for his administration’s developmental strides across critical sectors.

The Managing Director of Blueprint Newspaper, Salisu Umar, gave the commendation when the governor’s media aides paid him a courtesy visit at the newspaper’s headquarters in Abuja, pledged stronger collaboration to project the state’s successes.

Umar said the newspaper’s management had closely monitored the performance of the Idris administration, particularly in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture and security, describing the governor’s achievements as remarkable.

He also applauded the administration for the prompt payment of students’ scholarships, retirees’ gratuities and death benefits to the families of deceased civil servants, noting that such initiatives reflected a responsive and people-oriented government.

According to him, the governor’s impressive performance informed Blueprint’s decision to nominate him for an award last year, during which he was represented by the Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar.

Umar assured the Kebbi State Government of the newspaper’s readiness to deepen its partnership with the administration by giving wider publicity to its programmes and achievements across the media organization’s platforms.

He further commended the governor’s media aides for embarking on the media engagement tour, describing the initiative as proactive and beneficial in strengthening relations between the government and the media.

Earlier, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed, expressed appreciation to Blueprint Newspaper for its sustained support in publicising the activities and achievements of the state government.

He explained that the visit was aimed at appreciating the newspaper’s management for its cooperation and seeking enhanced collaboration to build a more effective communication framework between the government and the media.

The commissioner highlighted several landmark projects executed under Governor Idris, including the construction of mega schools, rehabilitation of educational institutions, improvements in the healthcare sector and the distribution of free fertilisers to farmers across the state.

Ahmed also noted that the administration’s commitment to the prompt payment of scholarships and workers’ entitlements had significantly boosted the morale of students and civil servants.

He reaffirmed the government’s determination to sustain its development agenda while ensuring that Kebbi State’s achievements continue to receive the visibility they deserve through strategic media partnerships.
