A socio-political group, ‘Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria’ (RTIFN), has commended the economic and structural reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the policies are already yielding positive results.

The Ogun State Coordinator of the group, Okereafor Bestman Opeyemi, made this known while addressing journalists in Abeokuta during the official presentation of membership registration booklets to local government coordinators in Abeokuta.

He explained that the registration booklets would enable the group’s leadership to maintain a comprehensive database of members across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State.

Okereafor added, “given his administration’s achievements, President Tinubu deserves a second term in office to consolidate and complete his economic and structural reform agenda.

According to him, “part of the President’s reforms have significantly boosted monthly allocations to states and local governments, improving their capacity to deliver social services and pay salaries.

“No state government has struggled to pay workers’ salaries since the inception of this administration.

“The administration has secured over $30 billion in foreign investment commitments, a development expected to significantly improve the economy. This reflects renewed confidence in Nigeria’s trade and business environment, while the investments are expected to create more employment opportunities and further stimulate economic growth.

“With a more stable exchange rate and improved crude oil production, now exceeding 1.8 million barrels per day, Nigeria’s foreign reserves have surpassed the $40 billion mark.

“Today, we have the South West Development Commission, the South East Development Commission, and other regional development initiatives.

“ASUU strikes have become a thing of the past under this administration, and academic calendars have remained stable because Mr. President understands the importance of education.”

Speaking on security, Okereafor acknowledged the concerns of Nigerians over insecurity and the prevailing global economic challenges, but expressed optimism that the country would overcome them.

“We are not unaware of the security challenges facing the country or the concerns arising from global economic hardship. However, considering the determined efforts of the security agencies, we are optimistic that, in no distant time, these challenges will be overcome.

“We acknowledge the successes recorded so far by the military and other security agencies. We also have confidence in the technology-driven leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, and commend the proactive and relentless efforts of the Ogun State Police Command under Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni. We therefore appeal to Nigerians to remain calm and optimistic.

“We are confident that the abducted Oyo students will soon regain their freedom unharmed. We also urge residents of Ogun State to make use of the Gateway Shield App and the Ogun State Police Command’s toll-free emergency line to report criminal activities for prompt intervention,” he said.
