The Chief Executive Officer of Dee Utensils, Amb. Lois Andrew Ihwo, has joined hundreds of Christian women in Abuja for the Pregnant and Waiting Mothers Prayer Conference, a faith-based gathering focused on prayer, encouragement and spiritual growth.

The conference brought together women from different backgrounds for worship, prayers and teachings aimed at strengthening families and seeking divine intervention for women trusting God for children.

Renowned ministers, including Evangelist Elisabeth Nkwocha of Lagos, guest speaker Dr Hauwa Briggs and gospel music minister Eunice Morgan, led participants through various sessions of worship and exhortation.

During the event, prayers were offered for women hoping for the fruit of the womb, while expectant mothers received prayers for safe pregnancies and successful deliveries.

Ihwo, who is blessed with both biological and adopted children, participated actively in the programme, sharing fellowship and encouraging women to remain committed to their faith despite life’s challenges.

She also supported the unveiling of a Christian women’s book launched during the conference.

Speaking at the event, Ihwo urged women to prioritise encouragement and spiritual support rather than competition.

“Every woman has a unique journey, and we become stronger when we lift one another up in prayer, love and genuine encouragement. As women, we must continue to create spaces where faith is strengthened, hope is renewed and lives are transformed. When women unite spiritually, families, communities and nations become better for it,” she said.

The conference, convened by Apostle Oluchi Elkuris, attracted women professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders and ministers of the Gospel united by a shared commitment to prayer and strengthening families.

Participants described the gathering as a moment of spiritual renewal, expressing hope that the lessons and connections from the event would continue to inspire women in their personal journeys.
