The management of Romex Global Link Ltd has congratulated Aero Alliance Limited on its concession to operate and manage the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, describing the development as a landmark achievement for Nigeria’s aviation sector.

In a statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Comrade Chinedu Abugu, the company said the concession signals the beginning of a new era in the modernization and growth of the country’s aviation industry.

Abugu expressed confidence that Aero Alliance’s expertise, vision and commitment to excellence would improve the airport’s operational efficiency, enhance passenger and cargo services, attract strategic investments, and strengthen Akanu Ibiam International Airport’s position as a major aviation gateway for the South-East and Nigeria.

He noted that the expected improvements would benefit the concessionaire, airlines, business partners, the airport community, the travelling public and other airport users.

“As stakeholders in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, we look forward to building a productive partnership with Aero Alliance Limited in advancing air cargo development, export promotion and efficient logistics services that will support economic growth and regional development,” he said.

Abugu further expressed optimism that the public-private partnership would drive the airport’s long-term growth, operational excellence and global competitiveness.
