‎‎Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho, has released a comprehensive account of his stewardship since assuming office in 2019, highlighting what he described as wide-ranging legislative achievements, constituency projects, empowerment programmes and employment opportunities facilitated for constituents across Kogi East Senatorial District.

‎‎The report, released through his media office, said the exercise was aimed at keeping constituents informed about his performance in office while reinforcing transparency, accountability and public confidence in the administration of President Bola Tinubu and its Renewed Hope Agenda.

‎According to the statement, the senator had earlier pledged to mobilise support for President Tinubu across the nine local government areas of Kogi East, adding that publishing his scorecard demonstrates his commitment to those who elected him.

‎‎The stewardship report details interventions spanning infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, employment facilitation and legislative activities executed across the senatorial district over the past six years.

‎Among the projects listed are the construction of healthcare centres, classrooms, markets, roads, police stations and cassava and rice processing plants, as well as the installation of solar-powered boreholes, streetlights and electricity transformers in several communities.

‎‎The report also highlighted the renovation of public schools and hospitals, provision of educational materials, medical equipment and relief materials to victims of floods, rainstorms and other disasters across the district.

‎‎Echocho said thousands of youths and women have benefitted from skills acquisition and agricultural training programmes, alongside cash grants and the distribution of motorcycles, tricycles, buses, speedboats, sewing machines, grinding machines, laptops, gas cylinders and other empowerment items.

‎‎According to the report, the senator also facilitated employment opportunities for constituents into several federal agencies, including the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), National Examinations Council (NECO), Federal University Lokoja and other government establishments.

‎‎On the legislative front, the senator listed several sponsored bills, including those seeking the establishment of a Federal University of Education in Ankpa, a Federal Eye Centre in Ochadamu and a Federal Medical Centre in Dekina, alongside proposed amendments to laws on agriculture, capital market development and violence against persons.

‎‎The report further outlined motions moved by the senator on key national and constituency issues, including the rehabilitation of the Itobe-Ajaokuta Road, completion of the Abadigba Power Project at Egume, inclusion of the Anyigba-Dekina-Shintaku Road in the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Fund, completion of the Ajaokuta-Otukpo rail line, and intervention for communities affected by floods, communal clashes and rainstorms.

‎‎Echocho maintained that the stewardship report reflects his commitment to responsive representation and sustainable development across Kogi East, saying he would continue to pursue projects and legislation capable of improving the welfare of his constituents.
