CEDE inaugurates new advisory board

…says’ll provide strategic guidance, technical expertise

ABUJA — A nonprofit organization, Chen Education and Development Empowerment, CEDE, Friday, announced the inauguration of its new Advisory Board, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s institutional growth.

The inauguration reinforces CEDE’s commitment to strengthening good governance, strategic leadership, accountability, and long-term impact as it continues its mission of transforming lives through education and development. 

The newly inaugurated Advisory Board comprises distinguished professionals with diverse expertise and a shared commitment to social transformation and sustainable development. The members are: Osagie Itamah; Ade Joel Mhir; Oreoluwa Adelakun; and Somto Mbelu.

Speaking on the inauguration, the Executive Director, CEDE, Cynthia Anaele, described the development as a major step in strengthening the organization’s institutional capacity.

Anaele said: “This is a significant step in strengthening CEDE’s governance structure and expanding our capacity to deliver impactful programmes. We are honoured to welcome accomplished individuals who bring valuable experience, insight, and commitment to our vision of creating a society where everyone has access to education, equal opportunities, and the resources needed to live with dignity.”

The Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance, technical expertise, and independent advice to support CEDE’s mission. It will also play a critical role in strengthening partnerships, promoting innovation, enhancing organizational sustainability, and supporting the effective implementation of programmes that improve the lives of vulnerable populations.

Since its establishment, CEDE has continued to design and implement integrated interventions addressing the needs of underserved communities across Nigeria. Through its various programme areas, the organization promotes: Education and Learning Development; Digital Transformation and Inclusion; Disability Inclusion and Accessible Development; Humanitarian and Charitable Response; Healthcare Support and Community Wellbeing; Policy Advocacy and Good Governance; Environmental Sustainability and Public Health Advocacy.

 With the inauguration of the Advisory Board, CEDE is confident that the collective expertise, leadership, and experience of its members will further strengthen the organization’s institutional effectiveness, deepen its impact, and expand opportunities for communities across Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the organization is dedicated to advancing education, human dignity, social inclusion, and sustainable development, the organization empowers individuals and underserved communities with the knowledge, support, and resources needed to realize their full potential and contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
