Doris Mcdaniel, National Coordinator of BRAC Coastal Aborigines, has described recent criticism of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (Zamfara West) as an act of political desperation.

In a statement, Mcdaniel said the attacks appear to stem from Senator Yari’s open support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

She noted that Senator Yari remains firm in his conviction and is undeterred by the criticism.

Mcdaniel stated: “The recent criticism against Senator Abdul’aziz Yari reveals more desperation than substance. Yari’s position has remained clear and consistent: President Tinubu should be allowed to complete the mandate entrusted to him by Nigerians.”

She added that Senator Yari continues to stand on principle and respect for democratic continuation.

BRAC Coastal Aborigines is an advocacy group representing interests in Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Calabar coastal regions, focusing on the development and common good of the Niger Delta and the nation at large.

The group believes Senator Yari’s alignment with President Tinubu is gaining significant momentum, particularly in the North.
