A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, has described Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, as one of Nigeria’s most dependable and influential political figures, citing his contributions to national policy debates, legislative reforms and economic development.

Mumuni made the remarks in a statement made available to Vanguard, while congratulating the Niger East senator on his conferment as Madakin Raya Kasar Nupe by the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.

While speaking, the APC stalwart said the traditional honour was a reflection of Senator Musa’s decades of service, leadership and commitment to national development.

“Sani Musa is more of a brother to me than a friend. We have been partners in virtually everything for multiple decades. In the whole of Nigeria, I have no confidant closer than Sani Musa,” Mumuni said.

He described the senator as a bridge-builder whose influence extends beyond party politics and regional interests.

“These are qualities that have endeared him to many people across political, ethnic and religious divides,” he said.

Mumuni also praised Musa’s performance in the National Assembly, saying the senator had consistently championed initiatives aimed at tackling national challenges and improving the welfare of citizens.

“Senator Sani Musa has demonstrated commitment to legislative initiatives that address pressing issues affecting our nation.“

“His engagement in policy discussions and advocacy for the welfare of his constituents reflect his dedication to public service,” he said.

According to him, Musa’s contributions to economic development, infrastructure and legislative reform have strengthened his standing as a respected voice in national discourse.

“His work spans critical areas including economic development, infrastructure improvement and legislative reform.“

“His collaborative approach with colleagues and willingness to engage stakeholders have contributed meaningfully to national discourse and decision-making processes,” Mumuni added.
