APM Lagos: Adeoye tasks new LG excos to work for victory

By Henry Obetta

The Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Lagos State, Prince Laja Adeoye, has congratulated the newly inaugurated Local Government executives of the party in Lagos State and called on them to remain steadfast in upholding democratic values and to work tirelessly towards securing a resounding victory for APM in the 2027 gubernatorial and Presidential Elections.

In a charge to the leadership at all levels, Prince Adeoye emphasised the party’s strategic resolve to build a formidable grassroots structure deliberately engineered to outwit, out-organise, and ultimately displace the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State.

He said: “We are not here to play politics as usual. APM is constructing a party machinery from the ward level upwards that will challenge and defeat the APC’s dominance through superior organisation, relentless mobilisation, and genuine connection with the people.”

The APM elected a new State Executive Committee in Lagos, led by Mrs Bunmi Adeyemo as State Chairman, Mr Abiodun Abari as State Secretary, Mr Ayodele Kazeem as State Spokesman, Mrs Aminat Sanusi as State Woman Leader, and other dedicated officers.

The party also inaugurated the elected executive committees across the 20 Local Government Areas in Lagos State, with Mr Olanrewaju Ayinde leading as Chairman of the Forum of Local Government Chairmen.
The party further established functional executives at the Ward level across the state. This comprehensive bottom-to-top structure firmly positions APM as the frontline opposition party in Lagos, ready to take power in 2027.

In his remarks, Adeoye said: “We are not merely seeking to govern Lagos State; we have what it takes, the experience, the intellectual capacity, the youthful energy, the technical expertise, and the right people, to transform Lagos into a true world-class megacity. That is why we have developed our comprehensive blueprint, Atunto Eko 1.0 – The Reset Lagos Agenda, also known as Re-Engineering Lagos for Inclusive Prosperity.
“We invite Lagosians to hold us accountable to every promise we make.

“While the ruling APC has brought nothing but hardship, infrastructure decay, and unfulfilled promises, APM is committed to delivering real, tangible dividends of democracy, quality roads, efficient transportation, reliable power, quality healthcare, functional education, job creation, and inclusive economic growth that benefits every resident.”

He called on all party stakeholders, leaders, heavyweights, and well-meaning Lagosians and Nigerians to rally around the new executives in their respective local governments and wards to foster collaborative efforts towards victory in 2027.
