No fewer than 200 residents of Obafemi Owode community in Ogun State have benefited from a free medical outreach and the distribution of food items, clothing materials and footwear organised by a real estate company, Abode Assets Limited.
The outreach, carried out under the company’s “Adopt A Community Initiative,” also featured health education sessions aimed at promoting healthier living and improving community wellbeing.
Speaking on the programme, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Abode Assets, Jeffrey Itepu, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to creating value beyond real estate and giving back to the communities that support economic growth.
According to him, sustainable prosperity goes beyond property ownership and should include meaningful investments in people’s welfare.
He explained that adults and children who attended the outreach received a wide range of support, including medical consultations, basic healthcare services, staple food items, clothing materials and footwear.
Itepu added that the company also considered it important to empower residents with knowledge that could improve their quality of life.
“Beyond the immediate relief provided, the outreach incorporated a health education session led by a medical professional. Residents received practical guidance on personal hygiene, food hygiene and environmental sanitation, equipping them with knowledge aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles and improved community wellbeing,” he said.
Also speaking, the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of the company, Damilare Oshokoya, said the Adopt A Community Initiative is part of Abode Assets’ broader effort to contribute to social development while strengthening its relationship with host communities.
He noted that the outreach aligns with the firm’s philosophy that prosperity has a greater impact when it is shared.
“While Abode continues to leverage technology and innovation to improve access to property ownership, it also remains committed to initiatives that support education, wellbeing and community development,” Oshokoya said.
He added that as the company celebrates its fourth anniversary, the Obafemi Owode outreach demonstrates its evolving role beyond real estate by combining business growth with meaningful social impact and long-term community engagement.
