The official press conference for SheCan Do More 7.0 held Thursday in Lagos set the stage for what promises to be one of Nigeria’s most impactful women-focused leadership and empowerment gatherings of 2026.
Bringing together corporate partners, media stakeholders, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and development advocates, the event highlighted the growing importance of collaboration in advancing women’s empowerment, leadership development, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and innovation across Nigeria.
According to organisers, more than 13,800 people have already registered for this year’s edition scheduled to hold June 19, 2026, in Lagos.
Speaking during the press conference, Founder of SheCan Nigeria and Deputy Managing Director of MBR Signature Ltd, Dr. Ezinne Ezeani, described the conference as far more than an annual gathering.
According to her, the platform has grown into a movement focused on inspiring women and young professionals to think beyond limitations, embrace leadership opportunities, and create meaningful impact within their communities, businesses, and industries.
Dr. Ezeani emphasized that this year’s conference will feature accomplished leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, executives, and changemakers who will share practical knowledge, mentorship, success stories, and growth opportunities capable of transforming careers, businesses, and lives.
She noted that the conference is intentionally designed to bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity by creating direct access to mentors, industry experts, investors, and corporate leaders across Nigeria.
A major highlight of the press conference was the unveiling of sponsors and partners for this year’s event.
MTN Nigeria and Sara by WEMA were highlighted as headline sponsors alongside other key partners.
Representative of MTN Nigeria, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN, reinforced the company’s long-term commitment to enabling progress and investing in the next generation of leaders.
