Founder of the MAAUN Group of Universities and President of the Association of Africa Private Universities (AAPU), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated the Vice Chancellor of Northwest University (NWU), Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero, on her 56th birthday.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Gwarzo described Prof. Bayero as an accomplished scholar, administrator and educationist whose contributions to higher education have continued to inspire many within and beyond the academic community.
He noted that the milestone offers an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the first female Vice Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, and her commitment to academic excellence and institutional development.
“It is with immense gratitude to Almighty Allah that we congratulate a distinguished scholar and the first female Vice Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero, on this auspicious occasion.
“On behalf of the management of the MAAUN Group of Universities, I extend our heartfelt felicitations to Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero on this important milestone,” Gwarzo stated.
He described the celebrant as an epitome of scholarship, humility and dedication, adding that she has served meritoriously in various academic and administrative positions throughout her career.
According to him, Prof. Bayero’s leadership has contributed significantly to the growth and advancement of Northwest University, Kano, while also promoting excellence in teaching, research and community service.
Gwarzo prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health and long life for the vice chancellor, expressing confidence that she would continue to make meaningful contributions to the development of higher education in Nigeria.
He also wished her greater success in her efforts to further elevate the profile and achievements of Northwest University.
