The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has announced the 2nd edition of its Mega Music Festival.

The event aimed at ushering Nigeria into a new season is scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026 at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

Briefing newsmen on Monday, Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Youth Affairs, Pastor Sola Olukoya, noted that the gathering goes beyond music and entertainment.

According to him, “It is a divine appointment — a highly spiritual programme designed as a night of intense prayers, heartfelt worship, prophetic declarations, and thanksgiving unto the Almighty God.

“We are gathering at Tafawa Balewa Square, the historic ground where the Union Jack was lowered and the Nigerian flag was raised in 1960, marking the beginning of a new chapter for our nation. On Democracy Day, from this same symbolic location, we will once again raise our voices before God and declare: A new season for Nigeria’s economy, education, security, families, innovation and opportunities,” he said.

The church is also using the event to launch a major youth empowerment initiative. Olukoya announced that RCCG will officially unveil the Young Adult and Youth Tech Fellowship in partnership with Reach4Christ. “This transformational initiative is designed to empower over 100,000 young adults and youths through an intensive four-month practical, hands-on technology training programme,” he stated. Areas of training will include Data Analysis, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, and Product Development.

Ministering at the night of worship include Minister Nathaniel Bassey, Minister Dunsin Oyekan, Minister Yinka Alaseyori, Minister Bidemi Olaoba, while prophetic declarations will be led by Pastor J. F. Odesola, Pastor J. T. Kalejaiye, and other senior ministers, and the Father’s Blessing will be pronounced by RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Olukoya said over 5,000 volunteers are already mobilized across ushering, security, medical, logistics and other departments. “Transportation arrangements are also being finalised, with free buses scheduled to operate from designated locations across Lagos and Ogun State,” he added, assuring that adequate security, traffic management and medical support will be in place.

He then extended an open invitation to all Nigerians. “Today, we extend an invitation to every Nigerian — youths, families, professionals, leaders, and everyone who believes in the future of our nation. Come and be part of this historic moment. Mega Music Festival 2.0 is more than a gathering. It is an altar of praise. It is a sound of hope. It is a declaration that Nigeria is entering “a new season,” Olukoya said.
