Out of this amount, N85.2 million would be spent on diesel, while N65 million would be spent on the purchase of AVC to improve water supply to the town and its environs. The AVC machine is to be delivered within one month.
Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Water Resources, Mr. Isaac Kolo, said this, yesterday, on behalf of the Commissioner, Hajiya Hassana Adamu, at a news conference in Minna.
He said the deliberate steps were being taken by the state government to sustain the level of water supply in Minna, before expanding to other local government areas in the state.
He said the Chanchaga Water Works in Minna, required about 52,000 litres of diesel monthly, hence the huge amount of money earmarked for the project.
