Nollywood actress Angela Eguavoen has weighed in on what she believes keeps relationships strong, saying balance is non-negotiable.

Speaking out amid growing conversations about marriage and dating struggles, Eguavoen noted that a healthy relationship cannot thrive when the burden of effort, care, and understanding falls on one person alone.

“Relationships should never be one-sided,” she wrote on Instagram.

“When both partners are intentional about taking care of each other, showing love, and making sacrifices, submission and loyalty flow naturally.”

The actress emphasized that mutual effort, not just words, is what builds trust and keeps couples together.

According to her, when men provide, protect, and love right, women find it easier to submit, just as women who give loyalty and care inspire their partners to do more.

Eguavoen’s comments come at a time when many young relationships are collapsing due to unmet expectations, infidelity, and lack of communication. Her message adds to the ongoing call for more realistic, purpose-driven views on love and marriage in today’s society.
