The Sooko Agoriesin of Ile-Ife, Oladotun Hassan, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, and Olori Mariam Ajibola following the birth of their twin princes.
Sooko Agoriesin is a royal king specially representing the ruling houses in Ile Ife.
They are lieutenants to Ooni of Ife, they are royal fathers and not chiefs.
In a congratulatory message signed, Hassan described the arrival of the newborn princes as a moment of joy, celebration, and divine favour for the entire royal household and the people of Ile-Ife.
His words: “The news of the twins’ birth has brought happiness across the ancient town, noting that the development is a blessing not only to the palace but also to the entire Yoruba race.
“The birth of the twin princes symbolizes continuity, peace, and prosperity within the throne of Oduduwa, while also strengthening the cultural and traditional heritage of the ancient kingdom”, he said.
He commended Olori Mariam for the safe delivery and prayed for Almighty God to grant both the mother and the babies sound health, long life, wisdom, and abundant grace.
He also prayed for the Ooni’s household to continue experiencing peace, progress, and divine protection, adding that the royal family remains a source of pride and unity for Yoruba people across the world.
The Sooko Agoriesin further urged residents of Ile-Ife and well-wishers of the royal throne to continue supporting the palace with prayers and goodwill as the royal family celebrates the latest addition to the House of Oduduwa.
