ABUJA – Former Edo State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Eghosa Asemota Agbonifo, has congratulated Hon. Felix Osaze Igbinovia on emerging as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency, saying the outcome of the party primaries reflected the clear choice of the people ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Agbonifo’s reaction came as APC leaders and supporters in the constituency began rallying support ahead of the 2027 polls following the conclusion of the party primaries.
In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, Agbonifo described Igbinovia’s emergence as a reflection of the people’s desire for effective representation and development.
He said, “The people of Egor/Ikpoba-Okha have spoken clearly, and they have made the best choice for our collective future.
“Hon. Felix Osaze Igbinovia represents the true desires, energy and aspirations of the people. He has the capacity to bring real growth and effective representation to our constituency.”
Agbonifo also commended APC members and residents of the constituency for their conduct and support during the primary process.
He, however, urged party faithful not to see the primary election as the final task, saying attention must now shift fully to the 2027 general election.
“While celebrating this victory, we must remember that the journey has just begun,” he said.
He called on party supporters and stakeholders across the constituency to sustain the cooperation and political momentum that produced Igbinovia’s emergence.
According to him, continued unity within the APC would strengthen the party’s chances at the polls and position it for victory in the federal constituency.
Agbonifo expressed confidence that an APC victory would deliver effective representation and meaningful development to the people of Egor and Ikpoba-Okha.
