The 5th edition of the Global Sustainability Summit, GSS, is set to return to the British Parliament, House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, with global leaders, policymakers, climate experts and investors expected to converge on London to discuss sustainable development in the age of artificial intelligence and innovation.

The summit, convened annually by Ambassador Canon Chinenem Otto, will hold under the theme: “People, Planet, and Profit in the Age of AI and Innovation.”
Organisers said the summit has, over the past four years, evolved into one of the leading international platforms promoting climate action, ethical investment, innovation and global collaboration toward achieving sustainability goals.

According to the organisers, the summit has contributed to the advancement of sustainability-focused policies and institutions across governments and has also helped attract investments into sustainable development projects and emerging economies.

The 5th edition is expected to bring together world leaders, diplomats, academics, innovators, youth leaders and climate experts to explore practical solutions for building a more inclusive, resilient and environmentally conscious future.

Among high-profile personalities expected at the summit are AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum; Bassey Otu; Patricia Espinosa Cantellano; Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah; and Nangolo Mbumba.

Others expected include Olufolake AbdulRazaq; Dikko Umar Radda; Marvin Rees; Neema K. Lugangira; and Danielle Newman.
The summit will feature high-level panel discussions, sustainability awards, policy dialogues, investment sessions, innovation showcases and youth engagement programmes focusing on climate resilience, ethical financing, food-water-energy sustainability, circular economy, artificial intelligence and diplomacy.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Otto said the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and technological innovation must be matched with people-focused and environmentally responsible sustainability policies.
He said: “As the world rapidly evolves through artificial intelligence and technological innovation, we must ensure that sustainability remains people-centered, environmentally responsible and economically inclusive.

“The Global Sustainability Summit continues to serve as a bridge connecting governments, institutions, innovators and investors to accelerate practical sustainability solutions globally. Our fifth edition is not only a celebration of progress made over the years, but also a renewed call for global collaboration and actionable impact toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Net Zero ambitions.”

Organisers added that additional speakers, partners and summit activities for the 5th edition would be announced in the coming weeks.
