GetBundi has announced the opening of applications for TechSis 2026, its flagship digital skills programme for African women, backed by a $250,000 scholarship fund aimed at training 3,000 participants across the continent and in the diaspora.
The initiative will provide free training in high-demand digital skills, including Content Creation, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics and Video Editing, targeting women of African descent between the ages of 18 and 40.
According to the organisers, the scholarship covers the full cost of the four-month online training programme, while participants who wish to obtain certificates upon completion will only be required to pay an optional $10 certification fee.
TechSis was launched in 2023 as part of efforts to bridge Africa’s digital gender gap and has expanded steadily over the years. The inaugural edition trained 500 women in Coding, while the 2024 cohort accommodated 1,000 women in Web Development and Data Analytics. In 2025, the programme further expanded to train 1,500 women in Data Analytics and Cybersecurity.
Speaking on the launch of the 2026 edition, Founder of GetBundi, Osita Oparaugo, said the initiative is focused on empowering African women with the skills needed to thrive in the global digital economy.
“Our mission is to equip African women with the digital skills they need to drive innovation, secure meaningful employment, and achieve economic independence,” he said.
He added that TechSis goes beyond technical training by creating opportunities for women to build sustainable careers in technology and digital services.
“We are creating pathways for African women to enter and lead in the digital economy,” Oparaugo stated.
GetBundi also disclosed that through its partnership with Doballi, some graduates of previous TechSis cohorts have already secured remote job opportunities with international companies.
Applications for TechSis 2026 open on Friday, May 15, 2026, and will remain open for 30 days.
The programme will be delivered fully online and will include live classes, self-paced learning modules, practical projects, mentorship sessions and masterclasses.
Founded as an African EdTech platform, GetBundi focuses on STEM education and digital skills training designed to prepare learners for the future of work.
