2027: Raymond Edoh to contest for Benue governorship under ADC

Prominent philanthropist and development advocate, Dr. Raymond Edoh, has formally declared his ambition to contest the 2027 Benue State Governorship election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Dr. Edoh, who has a background in youth empowerment, diplomacy, and sustainable development, previously served as Secretary General of the Nigerian Youth Congress and as a UN-Habitat Ambassador.

In a statement released through his Media Director, Emmanuel Daudu, the aspirant rejected alleged zoning arrangements and premature endorsements within the ADC, calling for a level playing field and transparent primaries.

“Zoning and endorsements at this stage are unconstitutional, premature, and inconsistent with democratic norms,” the statement said. He urged the party leadership to allow all qualified aspirants equal opportunity to seek the ticket.

Dr. Edoh outlined his vision for Benue State, placing emphasis on improved security, agricultural revival, youth empowerment, and accountable governance. He promised to tackle insecurity affecting farming communities and introduce modern tools to boost agricultural productivity.

His declaration has sparked interest in Benue political circles as activities ahead of the 2027 elections begin to heat up.
