Wing Chun Foundation Lagos has restructured. Its subsidiary, Fu Qingyun Wudang Internal Boxing, is now the organisation’s primary offering. The parent foundation continues to teach Wing Chun while the subsidiary teaches Wudang Internal Boxing – a Chinese system based on Daoist principles and internal energy development.

Fu Qingyun is the Chinese name of Ade Olufeko. He worked in corporate America and the creative industry before returning to Nigeria. He studied under Wang Shizhi at Luofu Mountain in Guangdong. Wang Shizhi is an inheritor of the Wudang Sanfeng Sect specialising in Taoist health cultivation and wellness practices. Olufeko also trained at a Wudang kungfu school in Hubei associated with Yuan Shimao, another inheritor of the same sect.

The subsidiary’s curriculum includes Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, Wudang Qigong, and traditional weapons. Wing Chun remains available under the parent foundation.

Olufeko founded Visual Collaborative in the United States, a platform that has featured hundreds of artists and notable profiles, and which is approaching its 20th year.
