Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State, Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, has commenced a statewide grassroots appreciation and engagement tour across the state’s 21 local government areas ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The five-day tour, which began on Monday, is aimed at strengthening citizen engagement and aligning his leadership priorities with the aspirations of the people.

According to his campaign organisation, Haske has so far visited nine local government areas, where he reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance, youth empowerment, education, agricultural development and economic growth.

“The voices, needs and expectations of the people will remain central to my political vision,” Haske said during one of the engagements.

The tour began in Adamawa’s southern senatorial zone, covering Ganye, Toungo, Jada and Mayo-Belwa local government areas, where he met with traditional rulers, party stakeholders, youth and women groups.

On Tuesday, the tour extended to Lamurde, Guyuk, Shelleng, Numan and Demsa, where the APC aspirant held consultative meetings with local leaders and community stakeholders.

As part of the tour, Haske paid a courtesy visit to the Gangwari Ganye, during which he presented utility vehicles to the monarch.

Speaking during the visit, Haske described his relationship with the Ganye chiefdom as “longstanding and rooted in mutual respect, trust, and shared aspirations.”

In his remarks, the Gangwari Ganye described Haske as “a son of the soil and a son of destiny,” while offering prayers for wisdom and guidance.

The campaign said several political figures, including former Deputy Governor Martin Babale, former PDP state chairman Abubakar Shehu and Mansur Toungo, also endorsed the aspirant’s leadership credentials.

Haske officially declared his governorship ambition on April 25 under the APC platform.
