Group moves for reunification of Celestial Church worldwide

A group within the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide, known as the Concerned Celestians Forum (CCF), has begun efforts aimed at reconciling and reuniting the church after nearly 40 years of division.

In a statement signed by its Convener, Evang. Segun Glorious Akande, the Forum expressed concern over the prolonged leadership divisions and fragmentation that have affected the church’s spiritual, administrative, and global standing.

The statement acknowledged that the church has experienced leadership disagreements that evolved into multiple factional structures, resulting in challenges such as mistrust, competing loyalties, and institutional difficulties.

The CCF called on all well-meaning members, leaders, clergy, elders, youths, and stakeholders across the various factions to support the reunification process.

The Forum emphasised that genuine reconciliation should be built on sincerity of purpose, mutual respect, humility, forgiveness, dialogue, and collective sacrifice for the greater good of the church.

It further stressed the importance of preserving the legacy of the church’s founder, Reverend Samuel Bilehou Joseph Oshoffa, and securing a united future for the younger generation.

The group pledged to pursue quiet consultations with key stakeholders, trust-building engagements, inter-faction dialogue, spiritual programmes for healing, and frameworks for institutional harmony.

The CCF reiterated that the process is not aimed at humiliating or weakening any individual or faction, but at creating an inclusive and dignified pathway toward unity under the vision of “One Church, One Fold, One Shepherd.”

The statement concluded with an appeal to all members and lovers of the Celestial vision to embrace the spirit of peace, prayer, patience, and sincere dialogue for the healing and restoration of the church.
