An aspirant for the Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency, Imo State, Mrs. Queen Tim-Opurum has declared that human capital development and investment in agriculture are top among her agenda.

Tim-Opurum spoke shortly after submitting her Nomination and Expression of Interest forms at the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

She expressed readiness to serve the people of the constituency with dedication, transparency, and accountability if elected into the House of Representatives.

The aspirant noted that her decision to join the race was driven by a strong commitment to attract meaningful developmental projects to the constituency and improve the overall quality of life of the people.

Outlining her legislative agenda, the aspirant emphasized her focus on key priority areas including poverty alleviation, infrastructure and power development, socio-economic empowerment, agriculture and innovation, education, healthcare delivery, and human capital development.

“I am fully prepared to serve the good people of Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber. My mission is clear—to attract impactful development, sponsor people-oriented bills and motions, and improve the standard of living across the constituency,” she stated.

Mrs. Tim-Opurum further highlighted her longstanding philanthropic efforts, noting that many individuals and communities within the constituency have already benefited from her various intervention programmes. She assured constituents of expanded initiatives if elected.

The APC aspirant also pledged alignment with the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the programmes of the Governor Hope Uzodimma administration, aimed at ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every part of the constituency.

She called for greater inclusion of women in politics, stressing that women play a critical role in national development and governance.
