…Says protests against lawmaker arranged and sponsored

BOMADI—A youth group, Grassroot Mobilization for Hon. Nicholas Mutu, has organized a counter-protest against the serial demonstrators opposing the incumbent lawmaker representing Bomadi/Patani Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, characterizing their actions as orchestrated and funded by anti-democratic forces.

The counter-protest, which occurred yesterday on the streets of Bomadi, the headquarters of Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State, as well as along the main Bomadi-Oboro-Okpokunou-Esanma-Gbaregolor road, featured protesters carrying placards bearing various inscriptions.

Some of the inscriptions on the placards read: “Every protest against Mutu is fake, he is our choice; Mutu is the best among all contestants in Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency; N10 million was collected to protest against Mutu” and among others.

Speaking during the protest, Comrade Patani Ken, a.k.a. The Adya One of the Niger Delta, expressed that Mutu has been fulfilling his legislative responsibilities commendably for the people of Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency. He emphasized that the grassroots were prepared to re-elect the lawmaker to the Green Chambers in 2027.

“All those enemies of Mutu protesting here and there are the real enemies of the people of Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency. Hon. Mutu has performed admirably, and we hold him in high regard for his kind-heartedness and commendable achievements in infrastructural development throughout the constituency.

“They cannot collect money from people to protest against our highly esteemed and respected representative and then come to mislead us. We are prepared to vote for Mutu once more in 2027, so he can continue his excellent work”, Comrade Ken stated.

Ms. Blessing Miengboloabofa, in her speech, praised the lawmaker for his contributions to human and infrastructural development in the constituency. She emphasized that many women in the Bomadi local government area have been profoundly impacted by Mutu’s representation over the years.

We are pleased with Hon. Mutu’s performance as a legislator, and we, the women and youth, express our gratitude for his commendable representation. We, the women, are prepared to cast our votes for Mutu in 2027,” she declared.

Comrade Ken Mezeh, the Coordinator of the Grassroots Mobilization for Hon. Nicholas Mutu, declared in his speech that the lawmaker’s performance had already secured his campaign for 2027.

Comrade Mezeh asserted that Mutu was the finest among all those vying against him, emphasizing that the track records of all contestants are well-known to the people of Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency.

He said: “Hon. Mutu is undoubtedly a commendable figure whose accomplishments as a lawmaker over the years have already advocated for his re-election in 2027. His remarkable performance in infrastructure and human capital development speaks volumes.

“He stands as the finest among all the contestants, as we are well-acquainted with their records in the political landscape of Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency.

“Therefore, I wish to urge the All Progressives Congress, APC, and our performing governor of Delta State, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to disregard the attempts of those tirelessly striving to tarnish the esteemed record and reputation of our respected lawmaker.

“This is because he possesses the capability and connections to bring even greater democratic benefits to the constituency upon his re-election in 2027”.

However, the group expressed their confidence in Mutu’s performance by passing a vote and formally endorsing him as their sole candidate for 2027.
