2027: Lucky Uduikhue declares to contest for Edo Assembly seat

Hon. Lucky Onosebhagbe Uduikhue has formally declared his intention to contest the Esan South East Constituency seat in the Edo State House of Assembly in the 2027 general elections.

The declaration event, held in Edo State, attracted prominent party leaders, stakeholders, and community members, who gave him strong endorsements.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Uduikhue stated that his major priority is to collaborate with traditional leaders, community structures, party members, and the Executive Governor to urgently tackle insecurity in Esan South East. He emphasised that lasting peace is the foundation for all other development in the constituency.

He outlined his key policy priorities to include building a united front with all stakeholders to protect lives and property and restore confidence in local communities. He also pledged to initiate inclusive programmes for women and youth empowerment through skills acquisition, job creation, and active participation in governance.

Other priorities include leveraging technology to improve transparency, service delivery, and create opportunities for young people, as well as strengthening the agricultural value chain from production to processing and market access to boost the income of local farmers.

The declaration received strong backing from All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders. Hon. Richard Oyedo and Elder Obanioke, the APC Party Chairman, praised Hon. Uduikhue’s productivity, tech professionalism, and leadership capacity. 

They highlighted his experience as Executive Vice Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area in Lagos State as proof of his competence and offered prayers for his successful emergence as the party’s candidate.

Community members and party faithful present expressed excitement and pledged to mobilise grassroots support to ensure his victory at the polls.

Hon. Uduikhue reaffirmed his commitment to delivering experienced, innovative, and people-centred representation in the Edo State House of Assembly.
