Ajadi preaches quality leadership, wins city people political award

Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, a leading governorship aspirant in Oyo State, has received the Special Recognition Award in Politics for Outstanding Contributions to Political Development in the state at the 5th City People Political Awards.

The event, which attracted prominent political figures, stakeholders, and dignitaries from across Nigeria, was held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at ETAL Hall, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State.

Ajadi, who was represented by members of his media team, described the recognition as a reflection of his commitment to service, consistency, and people-centred leadership.

He said the award goes beyond personal achievement and highlights the importance of impactful leadership in society.

“This recognition is not just about one individual; it is a testament to the values of service, consistency, and a genuine commitment to the people,” he said.

Ajadi added that the honour would further motivate him to intensify his advocacy for quality leadership aimed at improving the living standards of Nigerians.

He emphasised the need for purposeful and visionary leadership in the country, noting that only leaders with genuine concern for citizens can drive meaningful development.

According to him, his political ambition is driven by a desire to promote youth empowerment, strengthen institutions, and deliver dividends of democracy at the grassroots.

“I remain committed to purposeful leadership, youth empowerment, and building a better future for our nation,” he said, while expressing optimism about Oyo State’s future under credible leadership.

Ajadi appreciated the organisers of the award, City People Magazine, and others who supported his recognition, promising to do more in service of the people as he continues consultations ahead of the Oyo governorship race.

In their remarks, the organisers commended Ajadi for his contributions to political development in Oyo State, describing him as a strong advocate of good governance and progressive leadership.

They noted that his track record in community engagement, empowerment initiatives, and consistent advocacy for good governance distinguished him among his peers.

The City People Political Awards, now in its fifth edition, recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to governance, leadership, and political development across Nigeria.
