In a move to spotlight female leadership and inspire the next generation, Bukber Communications has announced plans to honour 50 outstanding women who are redefining leadership within and beyond Lagos at a landmark event scheduled for May 10, 2026.

The convener, Dr. Omotola P. Bukola, disclosed that the event, which will hold in Badagry, Lagos State, is designed to celebrate women whose contributions have significantly shaped institutions, communities and national development.

Speaking on the initiative, Bukola said the theme of the event, “Honouring Impact, Celebrating Power, Inspiring the Next Generation,” reflects the organisation’s commitment to recognising resilience, influence and transformative leadership among women across various sectors.

According to her, “This event is dedicated to distinguished women whose leadership continues to shape the future of our nation. It is not just a celebration, but a platform to inspire younger generations to rise, lead and make meaningful impact in their respective fields.”

She noted that the event would bring together accomplished women from governance, business, academia, entrepreneurship, media, advocacy and community development, providing a platform for recognition, networking and inter-generational empowerment.
Bukola further revealed that as part of activities leading up to the main event, the organisation would host a week-long cooking competition tagged ‘Clash of the Utensils’ from April 26 to May 10, 2026.

“The competition is aimed at showcasing creativity, promoting cultural heritage and encouraging entrepreneurship. It will culminate in a grand finale during the May 10 celebration, where winners will be crowned,” she said.
She added that the initiative underscores the organisation’s broader vision of using creative platforms to drive engagement, empowerment and socio-economic development.

Bukber Communications, a media and creative company, specialises in strategic storytelling, media production, photography, event packaging and brand management.
Bukola explained that the company is committed to helping organisations communicate effectively and connect with their audiences through innovative and impactful media solutions.

“At Bukber Communications, we believe every project tells a story, and we are passionate about bringing those stories to life with clarity, creativity and excellence,” she added.
She expressed optimism that the event would not only celebrate women of impact but also strengthen networks that will drive sustained growth and leadership development across sectors.
