Dr Waliu Adedamola Adeoye, founder and chairman of Stallion Cardinal Homes, says his decision to reposition real estate as a tool for wealth creation for ordinary Nigerians inspired the birth of the company.
Adeoye described the firm as a platform designed to meet the housing needs of everyday citizens, particularly middle-income earners, young professionals, and families long priced out of the property market. Since its establishment in 2018, Stallion Cardinal Homes has expanded from a single development outfit into a group of companies, delivering more than 15 estates across Nigeria.
Born in Iseyin, in the Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State, Adeoye began his education at Ebedi Nursery and Primary School before attending Iseyin District Grammar School. He later studied at The Polytechnic, Ibadan and earned a degree in Quantity Surveying from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2016.
His academic and early professional experiences shaped his understanding of the structural imbalance in Nigeria’s real estate sector, where housing development largely caters to a wealthy minority despite a growing population in need of affordable homes. This insight, he said, drove his determination to make property ownership accessible to average income earners.
A registered quantity surveyor with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and licensed by the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria, Adeoye is also a certified project manager by the Project Management Institute in the United States. His career spans roles at BST Partnership, Kingsnazzy Global Ltd., and CITEC International Estates Ltd., where he gained extensive experience in estate planning and cost management.
Reflecting on his time in Abuja, Adeoye noted that the rapid growth of the capital’s real estate sector exposed a critical gap in affordability.
“I began to imagine how real estate could become a wealth-creation tool, particularly for working families who have been excluded from ownership,” he said.
Over the past eight years, he has positioned Stallion Cardinal Homes as a major player in the sector, expanding its offerings across residential and commercial developments while advocating policy reforms through media engagements.
Beyond business growth, Adeoye has also received several recognitions, including an honorary doctorate in oil and gas exploration and an appointment as an Ambassador of Peace, alongside leadership roles in professional and civic organisations.
Despite these achievements, Adeoye maintains that his core philosophy remains unchanged: that real estate should serve as an inclusive pathway to wealth creation. In a sector often driven by high-end developments, he insists that the focus must remain on enabling hardworking Nigerians to achieve their dream of property ownership.
