Software engineer Lincoln Adighije has declared that he is actively contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s tech ecosystem by leveraging his unique blend of legal and technical expertise.
Adighije, who started his academic journey in law with a B.Sc LLB from Afe Babalola University in 2019 and later earned an M.Sc LLM in Commercial Law from Swansea University in 2023, successfully transitioned into full-stack development.
Explaining his motivation, he said: “I’m helping with the growth of Nigeria’s tech ecosystem by combining analytical thinking from my legal background with practical problem-solving in technology. “My goal is to build solutions that not only work but also drive innovation and create opportunities for others in the industry.
“I wanted to combine analytical thinking with hands-on problem-solving.”
He honed his skills through intensive local training programmes including Decagon Institute, Andela Learning Community, HNG Internship, and Moat Academy, where he developed expertise in full-stack fintech applications, cloud and web projects, AI, data analytics, and mobile development.
His portfolio features diverse projects such as peer-to-peer fintech platforms, cloud data dashboards, AI-driven chatbots, and mobile applications.
Adighije believes professionals with interdisciplinary backgrounds like his are vital to strengthening Nigeria’s digital economy.
As the country’s tech ecosystem continues to mature, his journey highlights the power of continuous learning and the increasing value of versatile talent in building a competitive and innovative tech industry.
