A delegation representing Cricova wines has paid a courtesy visit to renowned businessman and philanthropist, Arthur Eze, at his residence in Maitama, Abuja.

The visit, which took place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, was led by the Chief Executive Officer of Don Pee Wine and Beverages Ltd, Dr Onyeka Ogbatu, popularly known as Don Perry. The company is the sole distributor of Cricova wine and liquor brands from Moldova in Nigeria.

Cricova, widely recognised for its expansive underground wine cellars, is reputed to house one of the largest wine storage facilities in the world. The brand has attracted a global clientele, including notable figures such as Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, Juan Carlos I, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.

Despite the impromptu nature of the visit, Arthur Eze received the delegation warmly and commended their entrepreneurial drive. During the meeting, the team presented a selection of Cricova’s premium products, including Amplius Red Wine and Cricova XO Brandy, alongside other offerings in their portfolio.

Eze expressed admiration for the quality of the products and subsequently endorsed the brand. He also placed an order for the wines to be stocked in his five-star hospitality establishment in Enugu.

According to the Head of Communications for Cricova Africa, Madu Amaobi Kingsley, the brand has continued to gain traction among high-profile individuals and organisations across Nigeria. Among its supporters are prominent businessman Tony Ezenna, Chairman of Orange Drugs Group, and Chief Henry Orabuchi, CEO of Teka Pharmaceuticals.

The visit marks another milestone in Cricova’s expansion into the Nigerian luxury wine market, as the company seeks to strengthen its presence among elite consumers and corporate clients.
