Abode Academy graduates 500, expands pool of real estate professionals

Abode Academy has graduated 500 participants from its Advanced Realtor Certification Programme, adding to Nigeria’s growing pool of trained real estate professionals.

According to the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Damilare Oshokoya, the graduates from the March 28 cohort are stepping into a new phase focused on wealth creation, financial security and long-term opportunity. She described them as part of a shift in how young Nigerians approach real estate, not just as a career, but as a means of building income and assets through structured systems.

She noted that the Academy, founded in 2024, was built on the idea that sales extends beyond persuasion into leadership, influence and value creation. In its fifth cohort, the Academy recorded over 2,000 registrations, with 750 active participants completing a four-day training programme.

“This is about more than transactions. It is about building a system where individuals can create wealth, generate income and secure their financial future through real estate,” she said.

Participants were exposed to both the opportunities and realities of the market, with sessions covering foundational knowledge and advanced strategies.

Dr. Yemi Olodun of Hybridlandtech provided guidance on navigating the market, while Temiloluwa Dosumu of Landsafe.ng spoke on legal frameworks and the need for due diligence. The CEO of REB360, Tope Mark-Odigie, addressed discipline and mindset in building a sustainable real estate career.

In his keynote, Paul Foh, CEO of Sales Factory, spoke on building a sustainable sales pipeline, stressing visibility, personal branding and the use of technology.

“Opportunities do not just happen. You build systems that produce them,” he said.

Dr. Sunday Olorunseyi of Pertinence Group also urged participants to focus on long-term value through strategic relationships and disciplined investment.

A panel session featuring Nifemi Kolade, Samuel Babatunde and Madam Kofoworola highlighted real-life experiences across different career stages, with emphasis on consistency and adaptability.

The event included a raffle draw, with prizes ranging from N50,000 to N1,000,000, as well as a plot of land awarded to one participant.

Organisers said the programme provides access to knowledge, networks and a structured path into the real estate sector, reflecting a broader trend of young Nigerians seeking to build assets and achieve financial stability.
