The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Benjamin Obiora Nwoye, has appointed Hon. Ginika Florence Tor as his Principal Liaison Officer.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, is aimed at strengthening the party’s leadership structure and enhancing coordination across regions.
In a statement, Dr. Nwoye said the decision reflects his commitment to building an inclusive and effective team capable of advancing the party’s agenda across the South-East, South-South and South-West, as well as nationwide.
Hon. Tor, an Enugu-born political figure and former Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission, is recognised for her work in public service and advocacy for women and youth empowerment.
Dr. Nwoye described her as “a tested grassroots mobiliser, a born leader and a committed party member,” expressing confidence in her ability to contribute meaningfully to the party’s operations.
The appointment is expected to strengthen engagement between the office of the Deputy National Chairman (South), party stakeholders and government institutions, particularly as the APC intensifies efforts toward internal cohesion and preparations for the 2027 general elections.
