— Says security agencies on red alert

Ondo State government has activated extensive security measures to ensure a peaceful and hitch free Easter celebration across the state.
Information and Orientation commissioner Hon Idowu Ajanaku, in a statement in Akure, the state capital, said that safety of lives and property is a top priority.
Ajanaku, while extending warm felicitations to Christian faithful for witnessing another Easter celebration, declared that extensive and coordinated security arrangements have been activated statewide to guarantee a peaceful, secure, and hitch-free festive period.
He said that “Security agencies have been strategically deployed with continuous surveillance and intelligence gathering to forestall any breach of peace.
“These proactive measures are aimed at ensuring that residents and visitors alike celebrate in an atmosphere of calm and safety.
” The government strongly advised residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious at all times, and to promptly report any suspicious movement or activity to relevant security agencies.
Ajanaku stressed that community cooperation remained vital in sustaining the prevailing peace and security across the state.
He therefore called on the people of the state to continue to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of the state and Nigeria at large.
The Commissioner encouraged “citizens to support and pray for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he advances the Renewed Hope Agenda towards national development and prosperity.
He declared that ” the Ondo State Government reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and property of all residents.
Ajanaku assured that “no effort will be spared in maintaining law and order before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.
