‘Easter core of Christian faith’, says cleric, Paul Vincent

As Christians worldwide prepare to celebrate Easter, US-based cleric Bishop Col Paul Vincent has urged believers to focus on the true meaning of the season — the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Bishop Col Paul Vincent, President and CEO of Persistent Work TV Network, delivered a powerful Easter message in an exclusive interview, describing Easter as the very core of the Christian faith.

“Easter is the core of the Christian Faith because God’s Plan of Salvation and Redemption of the human race was completed through Jesus Christ,” he said. “Jesus Christ came into the world, gave his life, shed his blood on the Cross of Calvary to make atonement and pay for the sins of mankind.”

The Bishop explained that the resurrection of Christ serves as divine proof that God accepted the sacrifice made on Calvary.

“The takeaway message from Easter services is that the price for our Salvation is Paid in Full,” Bishop Col Paul Vincent stated. “Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary, paid for our sins, and today Salvation is offered to us free of charge. It’s our responsibility to accept God’s Gift of Salvation and receive God’s gift of Eternal life through Faith in Christ’s finished work on Calvary.”

He also warned against allowing cultural traditions and customs to overshadow the real significance of Easter.

“Anything we do this period has to have relevance to the Person of Christ, his death on the Cross of Calvary, and his Resurrection,” he said. “Any tradition or custom that focuses on anything else is a distraction. We should not let cultural practices and traditions overshadow the true meaning of Easter.”

Bishop Col Paul Vincent drew a parallel between Easter and the Jewish Passover, noting that while Passover commemorates deliverance from physical slavery in Egypt, Easter celebrates humanity’s deliverance from the bondage of sin, Satan, and sickness.

“Easter is a celebration of freedom, liberation, and redemption,” he added. “It’s a reminder that Jesus Christ has set us free from the bondage of sin and has given us a new life in Him.”

The cleric called on Christians to use the Easter period for deep personal reflection and spiritual renewal.

“Let’s reflect on the sacrifices of Christ and his love for us,” he said. “This deep reflection should humble us and make us do our best to live for him. Let’s renew and rededicate our lives to him, and be full of gratitude for his unfailing and unconditional Love for us.”
