The Okuokpellagbe of Okpella, His Royal Majesty, Mike Sado, has facilitated a resolution between a firm and a group of truck drivers in the community, restoring normalcy after a labour-related disagreement that affected transport operations.

Speaking on the development, the monarch said his intervention followed concerns raised within the community over disruptions linked to the dispute, which had impacted economic activities and livelihoods.

He noted that community leaders and other stakeholders had been engaging relevant parties to find a peaceful resolution.

According to him, a delegation he led met with the Chairman of the firm, Abdul Samad Rabiu, where discussions were held on ways to address the issues and restore operations.

“We engaged in constructive dialogue with the company’s leadership, and there was a mutual understanding on steps to move forward,” the monarch said.

He added that the outcome of the meeting included agreements aimed at addressing concerns raised by the drivers and ensuring the resumption of transport activities.

The royal father also disclosed that the discussions extended to broader community development matters, including plans by the firm to establish a healthcare facility in the area.

According to him, the design phase of the proposed hospital has been completed, with groundwork expected to commence in due course.

Sado reaffirmed his commitment to promoting peace and development in Okpella, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation in resolving disputes.

“What is important is the willingness of all parties to come together, resolve issues amicably, and work towards the collective good of the community,” he said.
